Frequently Asked
Questions
How do I book?
For Custom tattoo's, please fill out a custom request form. For Tiny Tatt's, Build Your Own Frog's, or Tooth Fairy Club requests, please fill out the respective forms.
All form links can be found on their corresponding pages, or at the bottom of this page
Can I get tattoo’d if I have a darker skin tone?
Absolutely! My style of work is focused more on black and grey, with occasional hints of colour. If you would like colour in your tattoo, and are unsure about how it might appear on your skin, or have had a colour tattoo experience you were unhappy with, I am more than happy to discuss it further.

I offer a sliding rate scale for BIPOC clients, check the Sliding Scale page for more information
Accessibility?
It's important to me that the studio is as comfortable and accessible as possible for people with mobility needs, chronic pain, low stimulation requirements and scent sensitivities.

-
There are no perfumes or candles burned in the space
-
Clients are welcome to bring headphones, books, comfort and or stimming objects may be used as long as they don’t move or shake the body in any way that might disrupt the tattooing process.
-
There is no pressure to talk during your tattoo, please just let me know what your comfort level is when it comes to conversation.
-
I do not smoke
-
There is one small stair to enter the building, if you need assistance with this I am happy to help.

What do you like to tattoo?
I love to tattoo nature, animals, skulls, bones, entomology (bugs), florals, medieval weapons, pet portraits, pop-culture references, horror, cryptids, mythological creatures, and so much more!
How much does a tattoo cost?
I charge a rate of 180/hr before tax for custom projects. Cost depends on a lot of factors; size, placement, complexity, etc. I always ask for a budget and give an estimate before agreeing to a project.
I offer a sliding scale rate for certain projects, check the Sliding Scale page for more information
How do I prepare?
-
Wear loose, comfortable, dark clothing to your appointment. Make sure you wear clothing that makes access to the area of the tattoo easy (for example, do not wear tight pants for a thigh piece, a long-sleeved shirt or sweater with no undershirt for an upper arm piece, etc)
-
Do not drink alcohol the night before, try and get a good sleep, and eat a good meal before your tattoo. I will not tattoo anyone on an empty stomach.
-
Bring headphones, a book, or any other item you would like that will keep you entertained. There is no pressure or expectation to be talkative or engage in conversation while getting tattoo’d.
-
Bring your own mask, water/beverages, and snacks
What is your studio like?
I work in a cozy private studio in Vancouver with my pals Tawnee and Addison. We are in a heritage building that is 5-10 minutes walking distance from either Stadium Chinatown or Waterfront station.

Our space is clean, queer, and comfy. I am often working alone, so it will be just you and I! If you are more comfortable bringing a friend with you, that's no problem at all, just let me know in advance
What do you not like to tattoo?
I do not accept requests for realism, full colour, watercolour, micro tattoos, large pieces of script, or tattoos that I do not think would suit my style and or body of work. I want you to get the best tattoo possible, and sometimes that won’t be from me!
What is your touch up policy?
Touch ups are free for a year as long as aftercare protocols are followed. A photo of the tattoo must be sent before I book in a touch up. If more than a year has passed, or aftercare instructions were not followed properly, I charge at $45 touch-up fee

What is your Covid protocol?
I am still masking and prefer that you are as well. I have extra masks in the shop if you forget yours.

We have an air filter in the studio and there is always a window open. Everything is cleaned and sanitized between clients, including frequent touch surfaces outside of the tattoo area, used fidget toys, etc.

If I am feeling sick at all, I will reschedule to keep everyone safe, and I ask that you do the same.
Can I bring someone with me?
The answer is usually yes!

Please let me know in advance so I can see how many people will be in the studio that day, and do my best to accommodate.
I am allergic to second skin and or green soap, can I get tattooed?
Yes! I always ask every client about any existing allergies. I have a non adhesive bandage option for those sensitive to adhesives.

For people with a green soap allergy, I typically use a diluted non scented Dr. Bronners. If you have a soap that you know works for you, please let me know!
